Nothing has changed. The adding of the .db suffix, or not, is a function
of the DBM library, not something that Exim does. However, the Exim
build-time configuration can affect it. If you do *not* set USE_DB=yes,
then Berkeley DB will use its compatibility interface, and add a .db
suffix. If you *do* set it, then it won't. See doc/dbm.discuss.txt.
