These may not have been around in 1.82 - things have changed since then.
In particular, underscores are now allowed by default (since 1.85)
because so many (expletive deleted) M$soft systems use them.
. Setting helo_strict_syntax forbids underscores (it defaults off, so
they are allowed by default).
. Setting helo_accept_junk_hosts (default unset) is a list of hosts that
are permitted to send utter syntactic junk (not just underscores).
