The remote server admin is wrong. You can see the To: header below, and
if you check RFC-822, you will find that "UP Thrip Interest Group" does
not qualify as a valid email address.
I'm assuming its the remote MTA sending that header - probably
generated by the MUA - becuase its using some sort of 'distrubution
list' - what is *should* be doing, is putting an empty Bcc, and not
putting a To: header at all
One way that you _can_ put data in an address header and still maintain
RFC-822 compliance is to add ": ;" at the end.. For instance:
To: UP Thrip Interest Group : ;
It used to be when everyone on the Internet trusted everone else
(before the spammers came) that RFC-822 validation of headers was
unecessary and this type of message didn't cause a problem. Those days
are long gone.
