flush the sendmail queues - ie if mailq is not empty then
try and force the mails off.
you then need to delete sendmail since the rpms should conflict - they
both should provide the pathname /usr/sbin/sendmail for example. If
you don't delete sendmail first then either rpm will not install exim,
or the delete of sendmail might damage the sendmail install

> 2. rpm -Uvh exim-3.03-1.i386.rpm
> 3. rpm -Uvh exim-mon-3.03-1.386.rpm
in general eximconfig isn't on RH rpms, but depends on the pakcager, so
