    Using FreeBSD 3.2, after editing the EDITME file I type a make a
get:

su-2.03# make
`Makefile' is up to date.

/bin/sh ../scripts/Configure-config.h
`buildconfig' is up to date.
Syntax error: word unexpected (expecting ")")
*** Error code 1

Stop.
*** Error code 1

Stop.


has anyone else encountered this?
