It's also advisable to set the following header:
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=KOI8-R
I'd also encode it with base64 or quoted-printable. Not all
mailer daemons in this world accept 8-bit characters in the
message body. And not everyone who mails your users understands
Russian, so having the same message in English seems like a good
idea, too.
