Yes, I updated it after the 3.x release. However, in the ftp directory
you will find
FAQ.html.gz-pre-3.00
FAQ.txt.gz-pre-3.00
which are the old versions.

You mean it just vanishes? Anything on the Exim logs? What do you see
when you try with debugging, e.g.
exim -d9 abcd@???
