It seems to me that we have a problem with log_file_path
(pid_file_path is OK) in Exim 3.02:
cs:~$ /usr/local/lib/exim/exim -C /var/exim/configure-3 -bP log_file_path
log_file_path =
cs:~$ /usr/local/lib/exim/exim -bV
Exim version 3.02 #1 built 06-Jul-1999 15:28:05
Copyright (c) University of Cambridge 1999
cs:~$ uname -a
BSD/OS cs.huji.ac.il 4.0.1 BSDI BSD/OS 4.0.1 Kernel #6: Thu Jul 8 18:31:18 IDT 1999 vadik@???:/usr/src/sys4.0.1/compile/LIZARD i386
Same under:
shuldig:~> /usr/lib/sendmail -bV
Exim version 3.02 #3 built 16-Jun-1999 18:03:37
Copyright (c) University of Cambridge 1999
shuldig:~> uname -a
SunOS shuldig 4.1.4 1 sun4m
I don't know when it appeared, but... HEY!
elric:~$ sendmail -bV
Exim version 2.10 #7 built 27-Dec-1998 22:51:47
Copyright (c) University of Cambridge 1998
elric:~$ sendmail -bP log_file_path
log_file_path =
And:
centauri:~$ /usr/local/lib/exim/exim -bV
Exim version 1.82 #1 built 26-Feb-1998 15:55:17
Copyright (c) University of Cambridge 1997
centauri:~$ /usr/local/lib/exim/exim -bP log_file_path
log_file_path = /var/exim/log/%slog
Well, this one works. And YES, I AM ashame of myself that I have
such old version of Exim running. They will be upgraded
immediately.
Thanks,
Vadik.
