AFAIK this typo would generate an error message in the paniclog and no
message would be accepted and/or delivered;

the message was relayed..
- NOT because 192.168.2.255 is accepted as a relay sender
- but because the the recipient was accepted as a relay destination due
to 'relay_domains = *';
