But there is much overlap.. Sometimes a request for help from a newbie
gets into a discussion of some advanced config topics, and then that
produces some suggestions on new development to make it easier for the
next newbie. I think if the lists weere sperated, much of this overlap
would be lost.

I have a sperate mailbox for this list, and don't always check it every
day. I've never felt like I was flooded, and I don't might reading
newbie questions mixed in with more advanced topics. Occasionally I
even answer some. IMHO, the list should stay as one.

So theres my two cents.
