You are right of course. I was aware of that, but didn't even think of
it. Checking further, it is only dssl.imrss.org that is acting up
again. The maps.vix.com rbls are working fine. This is the second
time in a couple of weeks that dssl.imrss.org has disappeared.
Their web site is unresponsive, although it responds to pings.
Still, it causes timeout problems when it goes down. The first I hear
of it is when users complain that they cannot send mail, because
their mail client times out while sending. I am going to comment
out dssl till it is ready for prime time.
Running "exim -N -d9 -bh some.ip" stops for a long time at the
point where it tries to contact dssl.
