I have a problem with exim on our server. The server is mailer.tcat.ac.uk
and this is the primary mail server for the tcat.ac.uk domain. The MX
record correctly points to this host with a preference of 1.
The problem is this.
If I email to the address leec@???
everything works fine
if I email to the address leec@???
it bounces with an error saying
A message that you sent could not be delivered to all of its recipients.
The
following address(es) failed:
leec@???:
host lookup did not complete:
retry timeout exceeded
