Actually your best bet is to remove the MX records in the DNS, or
install dummy MX records. Then sending sites will be unable to deliver
mail for that domain to begin with.

If there is an MX and you remove it, make sure there isnt an "A" record
pointing at you either. (Or if you cant remove the A, then go with the
dummy MX..

EG:

thisolddomain.com    IN    MX    0 nowehere.nodomain.
