Just to confirm to you good people that the exim web site is back in
good order and even being updated on a near regular basis.
The canonical URL is
http://www.exim.org/
There are two mirrors at present
http://www.ie.exim.org/
http://www.us.exim.org/
[The US mirror is off sync at present but will be fixed very soon.]
If you wish to mirror the web site you are welcome to do so, however I
ask that this is done by rsync to make the best use of bandwidth and to
prevent you slaughtering the server when I add some additional bits to
it....
The rsync path for the web site is
ftp.exim.org::www (if you wish to
copy the ftp site that is at
ftp.exim.org::ftp). This path contains
everything you see on the web site currently *except* the branding
document (which appears in the small frame bottom left of your
browser), and the /ftp path.
To set up a mirror set your rsync to copy this stuff in regularly, and
then make your httpd daemon do something sensible with the /ftp path -
ie pick up a local copy of the exim ftp stuff or redirect to an ftp
site.
The branding is intended so that a providing ISP can stick a logo in as
some return for their outlay. At present the path
/branding/branding.html is put into that frame. The example (blank -
the content is commented) file in the tree shows you the sort of thing
that needs doing.
If you set up a publically accessible mirror then let me know and I
will add it to the index page.
