There should be some kind of log from the receiving Exim, as to why it
failed. Is there nothing on the main or panic logs?
What do you get if you turn on the debugging? For example, if you run
exim -d9 duff-address
testing
.
to send a message to a bad address? That should show more detail as to
what is going wrong.
