Exim release 3.00 is now available from
ftp://ftp.cus.cam.ac.uk/pub/software/programs/exim/exim-3.00.tar.gz
and will no doubt get to the mirror sites in due course. The MD5
checksum is

This release contains a major re-working of the configuration syntax for
domain, host/net, and address lists, which is why the number has been
bumped up to 3.00. Most old configuration files will not be compatible.
To aid in conversion, a Perl script is provided. Details of these
changes and how to cope with them are in the file README.UPDATING. The
main documentation has been updated to match the new way of doing
things.

[For those of you running testing releases: since 2.954 there has been
only one minor change to the code.]
The FAQ is now out of date with respect to the new release. I will bring
it in line as soon as possible, and then add to it some new material
that has been accumulating.
