About a mail interface to radiopagers, I said:

I ought to clarify this. exim doesn't care whether you use TAP to talk to
your provider; all it's doing is feeding a message to a command. I mentioned
TAP simply because it's easier to drive TAP than to kludge up 'expect'
scripts to talk to the menu-based pager interfaces which were common before
TAP.
