i'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but i'm running a mailinglist
on a server which uses exim as MTA... since the mailinglist software (mailman)
sends mail by making a SMTP connection to localhost, every message send
generates a identd-lookup... i was wondering if it's possible to disable
identd for requests comming from the localhost? i think it's kind of a waist
of resources (especially when the mailnglist is sending a lot of messages
in a short time)... I'm not sure if that's something to be told to exim or
something else on the system?
