Hi!
One of my mail servers (running SuSE Linux 5.1, kernel 2.0.35 and exim
2.10) has the habit of crashing about once a week. One of the
secretaries at that site is trained to verify that the machine is
really down and to power cycle it. She is supposed to send my e-mail
later documenting the fact (so that I know what's going on).
Yesterday, it happened again. She sent me an e-mail after the re-boot
and it never showed up. She showed me the e-mail in her Outlook Outbox
showing that it was successfully delivered to the exim box, but I have
no evidence in the exim logs that this particular message ever
existed.
What could have happened here? Is it possible that I have lost other
un-logged mail?
Any hints will be appreciated.
Greetings
Marc
