Subject: [EXIM] Signal 11 and assuming message not there

OK, After asking questions here and getting some good suggestions I
think I may have found the problem with Slackware 3.6 and EXIM's
problem with it.

After ugrading to Slackware 3.6 Exim wouldn't work for me anymore.
I could get mail but would get a:

1999-03-09 18:26:15 10KWpD-0003pn-00 SEGV while reading
"T:jean.dhis.org:192.168.255.0:10KWpD-0003pn-00" from dbm file: record
assumed not to exist

1999-03-09 18:26:38 queue run: process 14748 crashed with signal 11 while
delivering 10KWpD-0003pn-00

The file that seems to be causing the problem is the library file:
libgdbm.so.1.7.3.

I checked out the new file that comes with the Slackware upgrade and it has
a year date of 1998 and a size of 48876. The old one is dated 1995 and has a
size of 25287. I reinstalled the old libgdbm (after backing up the new one)
and tried exim and everything is cooking along as normal. In fact is what I am
using as I send this message.

This is all fine and dandy but I don't know what kind of problems this is going
to cause on farther down the line. Cause I'm sure they changed it for some good
reason. I guess... (:

Anyway the important thing is, is anyone else able to use this newer library
file with exim under Slackware??
