I deduce from "(host accept)" that you have set up sender_host_accept_relay
and it does not include 127.0.0.1. Exim does not treat this specially,
for flexibility. If it always accepted relays from the local host, you
could not lock out relaying from the local host. I can envisage cases
where you might want to prevent users on the local host from relaying
messages through your SMTP port.
