Hrm. I'm getting good at answering my own questions. :-)

I made a new file, domains.virtual, that contains only the domains I want
to use for virtual hosting look-ups. This does not include the local
domain. Then I added "no_more" to the virtual_default entry so that any
domain that IS looked up using that entry either a) finds a match, or b)
results in an error because there are "no_more" directors to try.
