I think that somewhere back in the last mists of last week it was
my virtual hosts template that kicked this off with with a followup
question by someone who asked how we did pop. In one of the follow
ups the response was to use cucipop to do this.
We went away and look at it and it is not quite a perfect fit.
Having said that a friend of mine (I am a lousy C programmer)
says that he can adjust it to meed the requirements quite easily.
If this is the case I will do one of two things, hand back the
code to cucipop and ask them if the want it. If they don't want
it then I will either put it on my web site (or exim.org if
Phillip is interested)
As to whether POP is better than IMAP or not, the reason most
ISP type services offer POP is that the user is not tempted to
keep his 1Million messages on the server, using up all the ISP
disk space.
