[EXIM] Panic-Problem

Dear folks,

I am running Exim 1.90 on a SunOS 5.5. I tried to set a virtual alias like
this:

infomail:    :include:/root/mailing

In this /root/mailing file are about 500 recipients, one per line.
As I try to send a mail to infomail Exim sends out about 5-6 mails without
problems and then aborts with a MAIN PANIC: Too many open files.

Any suggestions? OS problem?
Other ways of sending a mail to 500 recipients?
