'scuse my ignorance, but I would have thought that the LHS would be a domain
name as well and so the rules would still apply. I freely admit that I'm not
conversant with the RFCs, so I assume that, while underscore _may_ be valid
for a *host* name it becomes invalid when that host is qualified with the
addition of a _domain_ As I see it, a label on its own is referred to as a
host, but multiple labels delimited by a period are known as a domain.
