Sorry but I haven't been following this too closely, but under Solaris
2.6/Exim 2.04 I got:
exim -bh 194.217.125.254
**** SMTP testing session as if from host 194.217.125.254
**** Not for real!
>>> looking up host name for 194.217.125.254
>>> IP address lookup yielded eximtest.frost.net
>>> no IP address found for eximtest.frost.net
>>> failed to get host name for 194.217.125.254 in verify_check_host:
returning FALSE
>>> looking up host name for 194.217.125.254
>>> IP address lookup yielded eximtest.frost.net
>>> no IP address found for eximtest.frost.net
>>> failed to get host name for 194.217.125.254 in verify_check_host:
returning TRUE
>>> RBL lookup: 254.125.217.194.rbl.maps.vix.com
Surely the returning of FALSE and then TRUE can't be right (or is that the
point?).
