Check out your Local/Makefile. You have got trailing spaces in the
settings of

EXICYCLOG_MAX
COMPRESS_COMMAND
COMPRESS_SUFFIX
CHOWN_COMMAND
CHGRP_COMMAND
MV_COMMAND
RM_COMMAND

which should not be there.
