Try running with -d2 to see the sequence of directors that Exim is
using. You don't need to send a message, just use -bt to test the
address. For example
exim -d2 -bt second_list@???
If this isn't helpful, try increasing the debugging level, e.g. to -d9.
If you are still stuck, have a look at the debug_print configuration
option in chapter 20.
