HI Nigel,
Thanks for the advice, expecially the syntax for the lokup parser, I
guess I should have coped that ! We experience about 100-150 thousand
mail transactions per day, hourly rates vary acording to on.off peak
times. I normally find that user to mail transaction ratios particualrly
for ISP's tend to be reasonably static at this type of volume,
staticatal normalisation I guess. How does this compare to your setup, I
am particularly intrested because we too are going to migrate to a
netapp file/front end processor archtecture soon (we are currently stuck
with a Digital Storgae Works using RAID 5 !). Also do you use POP as a
delivery agent ? If so how do you spool mail locally, I was considering
simply using the appendfile director but that leaves the problem of
appending the ctrl-A chars that seperate indvidual emails.
I am currently using lsearches since I have only two entires in my test
aliases file, I would as if anyone is making use of SQL queries to
return this info (from a database) since even dbm searches have upper
bounds in terms of performace ?
Regards,
    Conor.
