Hi,
I don't remember changing anything, however, on my mail server, after
HUPing the dameon, it didn't hang up but died. I re ran it manually
(/usr/exim/bin/exim -bd -q15m) and all seemed to work (no errors in
messages or syslog).
The problem I'm having seems to be related to rights issue, but I can't
figure out where.
This is an entry from my /var/spool/exim/log/mainlog :
1998-08-10 16:55:32 0z5y2W-0000B8-00 == xxxx@???
<xxxx@???> D=userforward defer (-1): failed to open
/home/xxxx/.forward (userforward director): Permission denied (euid=1000
egid=101)
Also this is from /var/spool/exim/log/mainlog :

/var/spool/exim/input//0z5xwE-00009H-00-D: Permission denied
And when I run exim -d, here's what I get for debug information :

Can anyone help me on this to figure out why? The system had been running
since 03-August 1998 without a problem. This only started when I ran
hup_exim.
