Hello,
I am trying to get Exim 2.01 running properly on UltraPenguin 1.0.9.
It is running on an UltraSparc 140 (Enterprise series 1), and compiles
flawlessly.
The system is using Linux kernel 2.1.106, and glibc 2.0.7 (UltraPenguin is
based on RedHat5.0) as its main library.
So far, so good, no compilation problems, the normal Exim binary.
But then I am trying to get it listen to the smtp-port, it first starts
and binds to the port, but if somebody tries to connect, it only shows
always the error message "451 SMTP service not available".
exim_mainlog says:
1998-08-05 23:27:28 getsockopt() failed from [127.0.0.1] (root): Invalid
argument
1998-08-05 23:23:42 getsockopt() failed from [194.95.221.129]: Invalid
argument
BTW: gcc version is 2.7.2.3
Is my glibc broken, or should I try another kernel?
Clueless,
