Many Sendmail options do surprising things. DM qualifies unqualified
addresses with the specified domain, or if the domain is the machines
hostname, it replaces the hostname with the specified domain.

qualify_domain and qualify_recipient only apply to unqualified
addresses (that is, no domain).

Most like your other mail software is putting that domain on, not Exim.
You probably want a re-write rule to patch these messages. Or, you could
fix the configuration of all your mail clients.
