Works by me. It's a mystery why your system work differently, but,
then again, due to the (literally) hundreds of megabytes of patches that
each Irix O/S requires, no too systems are identical unless they have
the same patches installed (unlikely) and the exact same hardware. It
could be the XPI interface that is causing the bug.
