題目: [EXIM] Strange behaviour with dtcm on Solaris 2.6
Hopefully this isn't an FAQ - I've been through the list but couldn't find
anything related. In fact its most likely a dtcm problem but I'm posing the
question in the off chance that somebody might have seen something similar.

We have been using Exim 1.92 for a month or so with no problem on Solaris
2.5. and 2.6 machines. However, as more people have started to use CDE and
dtcm as a calendar manager an oddity came to light. When someone sets a
reminder in dtcm to be emailed to them, the mail message does not arrive.
Investigation shows the following:

- dtcm calls /usr/lib/sendmail <address> (/usr/lib/sendmail is a symblink
to exim)

- exim writes a zero-length file in the spool/input directory

- the /usr/lib/sendmail process just stays until its killed by hand

- there are no entries in any exim log

Running /usr/lib/sendmail <address> at the command prompt works OK.

It looks as if dtcm is not passing the message to exim so, as I said
earlier, I think its some sort of CDE problem (perhaps a configuration error
on our part). However, if anyone does have some straws I can clutch it would
be helpful.

Regards

Laurie Cuthbert
