Thanks for reading/responding to my mail about the "Permission denied"
problem ... but i now need more help ..
say my computer's local name is xxx.yyy.zzz but the external domain
name is aaa.bbb.ccc and that's the domain name with the MX record.
so to mail me from outside, the mail has to be sent to aaa.bbb.ccc
however, exim only accepts mail "rcpt to:<user@???>" and if
i say "rcpt to:<user@???>", it gives the error
550 relaying to <user@???> prohibited by administrator
how do i add aaa.bbb.ccc to the list of domains that exim will accept
as being mailed to this machine?
the equivalent setting in Smail was
hostnames=aaa.bbb.ccc:xxx.yyy.zzz
