I have never had occasion to want to edit headers for real. I have only
ever done it while testing Exim. If you edit the -H file you have to be
very careful to ensure that the counts are correctly updated.

A better approach would be to force the message to get delivered to
yourself, edit is as you like, and then re-submit it.
