How tedious. Not to whine incessantly, but it's less than trivial trying
to find a specific answer in a mail archive with no automated way to search
through them and often ambiguous subject lines.

I and others appreciate the effort you've made to help us. I would suggest
that if we don't have a FAQ right away, perhaps we should start with just a
list of questions, even if we don't have time to put the answers in straight
off. Since I have no idea who if anyone is working on a FAQ, I'll start with
the first question for the FAQ (and since we've already been given an answer,
I'll put that, too):

1) The Majordomo digest problem is causing Exim to bounce messages to the
list owner - how do I fix it?

1.A) The return_output option for the pipe transport controls
this behavior: if it is set and the command produces output, it
    is considered to have failed.
    See http://www.exim.org/docs/spec_17.html#SEC379 for further details.

NOTE: if anyone is working on a FAQ, how about posting it as such, incomplete
or work-in-progress as it may be? It's gotta be more useful than nothing at
all, or constantly re-answering questions.
