As it turns out, the very-well-written manual and example configuration file
got me on the right path, and I'm now running Exim 1.82 with Cyrus 1.5.2 as
my local message store/IMAP server. Kudos on a job well done!
One question: Has anyone yet asked for helo_verify_except_(hosts|nets)
options? I'd like to turn on helo_verify, but my inhouse MUAs (Exchange
Client and Messenger) don't send reasonable HELO values and I can't exclude
the local nets from the verification...
