Hi,
I have a small problem with using exim to deliver internal mail to a persons
mailbox.
I use exim (1.6x) to deliver mail from our main mailhubs into a persons mailbox
on aSun4.1.X system. The host in question uses NIS to obtain the appropriate
user info prior to mail delivery. Occasionally the NIS database becomes
unavailable for short periods of time and Exim bounces the message it's
attempting to deliver with an error saying that the userid in question doesn't
exist.
In actual fact, it it just retried the delivery a few minutes later, it would
probably get through.
Is there any way of configuring exim to retry the local delivery a number of
times prior to generating a DR report ?
