What version of Solaris are you running this on? Are you using the
system ndbm database routines? I'm running exim on a SparcServer 1000
right now that's doing about 200-250 thousand messages a day (11,000
messages an hour) and I've never seen this error. The box is running
2.5.1 with all the latest recommended patchs and I just use the standard
ndbm database library that comes with Solaris. Compiler was gcc.
