I'm not sure what you are asking here. The "self" thing arises when the
remote machine you are routing to turns out to be yourself. When you are
running a director, you know you are already dealing with yourself.
Clearly I've missed what you are trying to do. Please could you give
some more detail?

if you just want to stuff messages into your own SMTP port.]
