Please take the time to read this.... it could be important to you.

The exim-users mailing list has been moved. The 2 addresses for it are:-

    List:        exim-users@???
    Requests:    exim-users-request@???

The Requests address should be used for subscription, unsubscription and
archive server requests - the archive server hasn't been tested as yet
(I'll tidy that up as I have time).

The basic commands can be obtained by sending the help command to the
Request address - in this system its best to put commands into the subject
line, but there are really only 4 commands:- subscribe, unsubscribe, help
and archive.

The users list from Philips archives have been carried across to the new
list server. The list server will only accept submissions from people on
the list, although I can add exceptions if needed for people behind
exploders - please send info on that to me. You may also hit problems if
the email address that the list server has is not the one stamped on your
outgoing mail!

I'll look at getting this slicker as I have time and as it shows up what
needs doing... however moving it now takes manual load off Philip.

The old list will be gatewayed into the new one for a while. Messages
from the new list have the following identification headers (to allow
those that filter mail to do a good job):-
    X-mailing-list: <exim-users@???> archive/latest/3
    X-loop: exim-users@???

[the number at the end of the first header will change with each message]
There is also a boilerplate section added to the end of each message to
try and remove some of the sub/unsub messages which clutter lists as they
get more popular.

I should be able to add a digest list if it would be useful to people.

    Nigel.
