Generating DR reports based upon SMTP responses

I presently use exim 0.56 to route mail to our main PP mailhubs from users on
campus running windows/mac mail clients.Exim accepts mail from our users and
then resends it to one of our main mailhubs.

In some cases messages cannot be transferred e.g if they attempt to send 8 bit
data

554 8BIT SMTP Extension not supported

or

550 Unrouteable domain "needler.hull.ac.uk"

or

550 Unknown local User 'health'

Does anyone know it it is possible to configure exim to act upon these
responses and generate an appropriate message to return to the sender..

If it is possible, how would one do it?
