Exim parses aliases as RFC 822 addresses. An address of the form

A User AB/CC DE/12 FG/34 <auser@???>

is legal, and should be accepted. In fact, I have just tested it, and it
seems to work. Perhaps there were some other special characters? Note
that the part before the < is the "phrase" part, not the "comment" part
(comments are in brackets) and certainly odd characters might cause
problems there, as the syntax of phrases is defined by RFC 822.
