Well, if somebody will come up with an algorithm, I'll be happy to
consider including it. The current algorithm was copied from Pine, where
there are copious comments about the difficulty of inventing an
algorithm that is guaranteed always to work under NFS. I do not think I
have enough expertise to invent a new one myself.
