I have made a change today (11 Dec) to the MTA on our main campus mail relay
(pat.ccc.nottingham.ac.uk), which handles mail to nottingham.ac.uk/nott.ac.uk
addresses. This replaces PP 8.1 with Exim 1.58 as part of a plan to improve
performance on our mail relay systems. I would be grateful if any mail managers
noticing outstanding queues building up for us would let me know, as it may
indicate problems with the new MTA. Our other relay (jess.ccc.nottingham.ac.uk)
is still running PP for the time being, while I make sure the change on pat has
no unexpected problems; I hope to change jess over to Exim before Christmas.
