I just started running exim here as my MTA. It can bounce bogus from:
lines at SMTP time. So, the message never gets here in the first place.
Haven't had any complaints, yet...
I am thinking of providing an 'alias' capability though. That way someone
could have bogus From: lines in their posts to stop spammers, but I'd
still know who they were.
