} I call it exirestart, and think it would make a great addition to the
} exim/bin directory, assuming I'm not brain-dead and missed something like
} that that's already there :)

I do this by having the init script - /etc/rc.d/init.d/exim.init -
have a reconfig option which does pretty much that!

It would be nice if I could shove the pid file elsewhere without
major fiddling (ie config options). On linux (at least this version)
pretty much everything leaves a pid in /var/run/<progname>.pid - exim
is a nasty exception to this rule (in fact I may source mod it for
our systems).
