Indeed. This is the same kind of "enhancement" that sendmail attempted,
much to the distress of other RFC-822 mailers which didn't want to play
by "new" rules (eg. "Apparently-To:").
I think the best policy is to properly insert full and proper Received:
headers, and leave it up to the users and admins to trace through them.
Perhaps someday MUA authors will write parsers for proper RFC-822
headers that help validate the authenticity of a piece of mail, not that
this'll be easy! ;-)
