Subject: [exim] deadlock ?
Hi guys,

we have an interessting case found (partly anonymised ) :

2019-02-06 11:19:51 1grKJ5-0007Eh-3Z H=localhost (localhost.localdomain)
[127.0.0.1] Warning: processing file "" for "To:
cluboffice@senderdomain, tourenwart@senderdomain,
beisitzer@senderdomain, recipient@??? -> From: "XXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXX" <tourenwart@senderdomain> / R="XXXXXXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXXXX"
<tourenwart@senderdomain>"
2019-02-06 11:19:51 1grKJ5-0007Eh-3Z H=localhost (localhost.localdomain)
[127.0.0.1] Warning: send for cluboffice@senderdomain,
tourenwart@senderdomain, beisitzer@senderdomain, recipient@???
2019-02-06 11:19:51 1grKJ5-0007Eh-3Z <= tourenwart@senderdomain
H=localhost (localhost.localdomain) [127.0.0.1] P=esmtp S=911
id=9ea5d960f5dd4057df56bbd1046da861@www.senderdomain

This try above is for "tourenwart@senderdomain"  itself.
"tourenwart@senderdomain" is a forwarder to an external adress at gmail.

FROM: tourenwart@senderdomain
TO: tourenwart@senderdomain
Reply-To: tourenwart@senderdomain

as you can see above, we do not have any line for the delivery attempt.
There are no additional error messages, not hints, nothing.

I think, that, for whatever reason, exim ended up in a deadlock of not
being able to send an error message back to the sender,
of not being able to send this message to the external forwarder.

Would that look like the above loglines ?

best regards,
Marius
